Designed to compliment an indoor break area, this concept for a 7,000 square foot outdoor space was designed to accommodate a variety of uses. A shade structure acts as a backbone to the design and helps to simultaneous define and tie together 5 spaces. Envisioning an area that can be utilized for corporate events, holiday parties as well as day to day breaks for individuals and small groups there is a TV area for presentations and general viewing, central raised deck with a fire pit, smaller, more intimate seating areas under shade trees, artificial turf area for yoga groups or to lay out and read a book, and an open area that can be configured to suit almost any use. Moveable seating was used to provide flexibility while seat walls and built in concrete seating was designed around the perimeter of the space to maximize occupancy for large events.
